How to connect via FTP using Mozilla Firefox

Note: This will allow you to log into an FTP account, but it is not a full FTP connection. You will be able to view the files listed in the FTP folder and you will be able to open them by clicking on the file names. However, you will not be able to upload any new content to the FTP folder in this way.

The correct syntax to use in Mozilla Firefox is:
ftp://userid:password@domain

For example, if your account information is
Domain: mydomain.com
Username: bob123
Password: yesterday
You would enter:
ftp://bob123:yesterday@mydomain.com

OR

Domain: mydomain.com
Username: bob123@mydomain.com
Password: yesterday
You would enter:
ftp://bob123@mydomain.com:yesterday@mydomain.com

Whichever directory you specified the user has access to in the FTP Accounts setup, the browser will automatically point to this directory.
